Start sequence after KDM?

How do I tell the network to start first when I log on?

I am using KDE 4.2 on Kubuntu 8.10 and using Wi-Fi connection

It seems that the network loads last and no data are loaded to my LCD Weather applet, nor my Kopete logs in, nor my pages are loaded with Konqueror.

Why should the Wi-Fi network is loaded after login of a user? What if my Xorg crash and need some packages to be downloaded from INTERNET?

Can I tell the network to be loaded before Xorg?

You can get wireless to stat at boot either using the ifupdown package and editing /etc/network/interfaces or by installing wicd.

sudo aptitude install wicd
is probably the easiest fix.
