Can't install 8.1 on Radeon 9200 ATI VGA card

hello, i have a big problem that i can't even run live CD on my PC,
P4 intel 2.6
ATI 256MB Radeo 9200
768 MB Ram

after text settings, no graphics appear

the earlier versions of kubuntu were good and stable, but i want to be up to date

I had the same problem. I suggest you either run the installation in text mode or toggle the 'safe' mode first. The LiveCD should run normally using the 'safe' mode also.

I personally installed my Kubuntu in text-mode (I'm also ATI user).
