    KDE4's Notes plasmoid.[CLOSED]

Just wondering if anyone has come across how to create a new note in the Notes Plasmoid. I've tried the various traditional keycuts (ctrl+n etc) as well as variations but none do anything. (Alt+F2 does bring up krunner so other keycuts work.) I can't find any site that deals with Notes as an app... nor does Master Google seem to know of anyone requiring or acquiring this knowledge either.

Don't believe this is possible. In fact, this particular plasmoid would be better called Note plasmoid (note the singular designation!). If all it does is put a single sticky note on the desktop, well, that's not very useful. I much prefer running KNotes instead.

Really? Isn't 4.1 supposed to be the 'user' release? I'd understand if it was limited to one primitive method of starting a new note but none at all? This is serious bug material! Cept it is virtually impossible to submit a bug to KDE! argh!

While KNotes isn't a plasmoid, when you start it, it puts its self on the task bar. It is far superior to this practically worthless plasmoid, IMO. KNotes is of course, installed by default and available via the K Menu > Applications > Utilities.

You can just right click the desktop, choose Add Widgets, and add another Notes plasmoid. You can have add as many as you like.
