While playing with Beta II 8.10, I was glad to see some extra effects like Desktop Cube. After several updates they no longer appear. Why? All necessary packages are available, I think. Anyone else? I kind of already got use to having it.

jtechidna (Jonathan Thomas) tried porting some of these to 4.1.2 from 4.2SVN (what Opensuse have done for a few things) but iirc there were problems with them so they were removed -
