    Keyboard layout with XDMCP (SOLVED)

    Hello everybody,

I'm preparing an XDMCP server based on Kubuntu 8.04 LTS.

We use thin client to connect to the XDMCP server.

When the thin client is connected to the login screen, the keyboard is "qwerty" like "US" keyboard.

I would like to use a Belgian keyboard to that login screen.

The old XDMCP server based on SUSE 9.2, use a file called "Xsetup" to execute xmodmap with an xmodmap.be's file.
Then on the thin client, the keyboard layout is Belgian at login screen.

    Can someone help me ?

    Thanks in advance !

    Re: Keyboard layout with XDMCP

    Hello all,

I have tested with the Ubuntu Karmic 9.10 (with KDE) and it's works.

The keyboard is mapped from Xsetup (+ xmodmap) on our thin client.

It's seems that there's a bug with the "Xsetup" and Kubuntu 8.04 LTS.

      Re: Keyboard layout with XDMCP

      Hello all,

I have updated this distribution with KDE 4 and it's work.

It's seems that is related to kde 3.5 under kubuntu 8.04.

May be i'll try another distribution with KDE 3.5.10 - opensuse.
