How2make thunderbird open weblinks in firefox?

Dumb question folks. I googled it and didn't find an answer, so I will hope someone here can help.

My machine is now running the current LTS Kubuntu. After installing firefox and thunderbird with adept, all went good. But now I can't open weblinks from thunderbird. WHY? Seems silly that this wouldn't just work. There must be something I forgot to install, but I don't know what. What is the kubuntu way to get weblinks working between firefox and thunderbird?

You will probably also need to set them accordingly in System Settings ->Default Applications.
