gnomesword_2.3.6-1 does not run after installation

Can some one please help, I have downloaded the latest GnomeSword "gnomesword_2.3.6-1_i386.deb" and installed it, but now it doesnt want to run.
If I reinstall the older package found on Adept, it works.

Please help

You should always stick with packages listed in Adept Manager. The fact that you aren't seeing the "newer" version simply means that it hasn't been ported/developed for the version of Kubuntu you are running. Downloading the "newer" .deb binary isn't a guarantee that it will work, and as you've stated, obviously doesn't.

Windows no longer obstructs my view.
