    Adept: Can't find best server.

Hi, I follow the guide from this page:
    Code:
    http://www.ubuntugeek.com/how-to-select-fastest-mirror-in-ubuntu.html
When I click on "Find Best Server" button, nothing happened.
My friend use Synaptic and he found the server "http://ubuntu-ashisuto.ubuntulinux.jp/ubuntu" which have transfer rate between 100-150 kB/s. I do the same thing in Adept and it keep download from "Server for Viet Nam" which have transfer rate never reach 40kB/s.
I've selected server ashisuto but anyone know how to make "Find best server" work?

    Find Best Server

    There are:

    Package: python-software-properties
manage the repositories that you install software from

This software provides an abstraction of the used apt repositories. It allows you to easily manage your distribution and independent software vendor software sources.
    Package: software-properties-kde
This package contains a QT/KDE based graphical interface.
    Package: software-properties-gtk
This package contains a GTK+ based graphical interface.

    ALT + F2 and
    Code:
    kdesudo software-properties-kde

    #1 Download from: Other

#2 "Choose a Download Server" Jumps Up; Click: "Find Best Server"

    #3 "Testing Mirrors" Jumps Up...

#4 When testing is over: click "Choose Server"

    Note
This will overwrite your /etc/apt/sources.list !

Re: Adept: Can't find best server.

I do as you said, but this is what happened:
      ALT + F2
      Code:
      kdesudo software-properties-kde
      #1 Download from: Other

#2 "Choose a Download Server" Jumps Up; Click: "Find Best Server"
#3 "Testing Mirrors" doesn't Jumps Up...

#4 "Software Sources" disappear and nothing change

I don't know what's wrong with my computer, I've encounter lots of weird error like this before (maybe I'm unlucky ).

      Thank you for helping me.

Running HH running KDE Version 4.00.83 (KDE 4.0.83 (KDE 4.1 Beta2). Rog131's steps 1 through 3 work. The testing window pops up and after a few seconds closes along with Adept's Software Sources window. Not presented with a new server. It may be that if the testing results in the currently used server (i.e., no change) that this closing behavior is normal. Hmm.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

Here the GTK front-end is feeling a bit more stable but both have bugs in the : Bugs in software-properties in ubuntu

          > software-properties-kde crashed with SIGSEGV
          > software-properties-gtk crashed with IOError in save()
