    KDE4 Kopete Notifications

    Hi,

I've just recently switched to KDE and I'm using the KDE4 Kubuntu.

Loving it so far but I do have one question relating to Kopete and it's notifications.

If a user comes online, I get a notification which dissapears after a few seconds, which is great. But if i receive a new IM i get a notification which just stays there until I clear it "View/Ignore"... I'd like that to just fade away after a few seconds also, but I can't for the life of me find out where to change this.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance.

Please try "Behavior" ---> "Events" and change the default 30 seconds in "Close Bubble Automatically After".

      Hope that helps.

that option isn't there. If it helps anyone, using Kopete 0.50.80

Try Settings --> Configure Notifications and see if this could be helpful

"Behavior" is under "Settings" "Configure" and should be available.

Also current Hardy (8.04) Kopete version I have in use is v0.12.7.

Did you install from the repo or d/l direct from the Internet site of Kopete?

              I'ts 8.04 remix i'm using and it was pre-installed.

That opiotn simply isn't there, the Behavious option is, and the events, but there simpl isn't an option for this.

I half-read somewhere something about kopete using knotify, I am really new to KDE and not sure what knotify does, but would that affect what I need to do?

I am sorry but I know nothing about kopete.
Especially under kde4. It is being ported.

I use pidgin with kde4.0 / kde4.1 beta and have had no issues.

                  It is in the repos

Same problem here. Bubble stays and is mighty annoying.

I miss that menu point too.

                    I run KDE 4.0.5 and Kopete 0.50.1
