    package installation error

    Hey all,

    I'm having trouble adding the ubuntu-desktop or xubuntu-desktop packages to my current Kubuntu 8.04 installation. In console (apt-get) and using adept when I apply the changes I get a message saying I need to "insert the disc labeled Kubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron ... into /cdrom". But no matter which disc I insert (desktop install or alternate) it doesn't work.

    How can I get around this?

    Thanks in advance, regards...Cliowa

    Re: package installation error

    In adept:
    go to: adept>manage repositories>third parties uncheck the cdrom line and do a refresh.

    That should take care of it

      you need to delete or remark the first line of your /etc/apt/sources.list

      where it says "CD" ...
