    Lost disk space

Dolphin tells me my Home directory is using 57.3GB. I count up the amount used by all the directories, including the hidden ones, and it comes to less than 15GB.

Dolphin does not seem to be lying about the total as the partition manager says that much space is being used.

I've googled around and tried everything I found (there was a good thread on the Ubuntu forums) but nothing has worked.

What is mysteriously hogging my disk space?

Any ideas appreciated. I'm not a master linux user, so I appologise if the answer is obvious.

Thanks for the suggestions. There is nothing lurking in the Trash folder, and the utillities gave me the same results.

      Hey ho.
