Can't stream music from mytweb since upgrade

I moved a week ago from Debian Etch to Kubuntu 8.04. Since the move I am unable to stream my music from Mythweb or from my webserver using MusicIndex. I have it setup with some basic authentication to get into the websites, but I can no longer get it to stream or play. If I download a mp3 locally all is fine, but not streaming.

It says that it has been denied access when I try it using Amarok, MPlayer, Kaffine or KMplayer. Anyone have any suggestions?

I've used Snowhog's excellent instructions. They not only allow you to play DVD's but have the necessary codecs to play all sorts of things.
Hope this helps with your problem.
