KUBUNTU 8.04 and KDE 4.0.2

Hi, I was wondering if the kubuntu KDE4 remix will have only the kde 4 package or a remix of the KDE 3 and KDE 4, in that case I don't know how I will save 30% of memory usage if the KDE 3 package will still be there and running?

Should I wait until the next kubuntu 8.10 tu have the kde 4.1 and only packages of KDE 4 or in the next version of kubuntu I will have only KDE 4 packages :


Ex: I use knetworkmanager and I know that this application is an KDE3 application, and still not migrated to KDE4, If I install Kubuntu KDE 4 remix, will I have the knetworckmanager ?, I yes thats means that the KDE3 packages will still be there even in the Kubuntu KDE 4 remix !

Im I wrong ?

afaik the kde4 "remix" version of HH has a few kde3 apps for which there is not kde4 replacement, yet.

That doesn't mean that kde3 desktop is running, only the apps. and only when you open them.

Those kde3 aps will probably be upgraded as needed.

So I don't think you'll have that 30% issue.

At least I don't have it with kde4 for HH.
