    Re: KDE 4 or 3 ?

I'm not sure how thing are now but when KDE4 was released I installed it and an updated messed it up then along the way I hit a problem with KDE3 but after working that out they have played fine together. I had both running together on a secondary PC and neither of them had encountered any issues.

tried kde4, not enough usuability for me ( proxy negotiator does not work in Konquerer, sound controls don't work, etc. ) falling back to kde3 for now. It will be nice when it's ready

I've lost a lot of things I like(Evolution for example) , but gained a lot of things... I love the new menuing and fontification...

I will probably stick with it for now both to support it and to learn the future as they say...

Plus I like living on the bleeding edge!

I'm using both kde3 and kde4 at the moment. As kde4 improves, I expect that I will use it more and kde3 less. Most of the kde3 apps run on kde4, so the more development and work on kde4, the sooner it will be the only option.
It's good to have a choice, we are all different.

KDE4 is eycandylicious, but i found it to not be ready enough for me, so I switched back to plain old working perfect kde3 after a couple of weeks.
