update broadband details to start internet

Hello all,
I am new to Linux, however i managed to install Linux on my own but not able to add my DSL account details to KDE 8.04 can somebody help.

I have tried to figure out & already played enough with KPPP, however it was of no use as It deals only with Dial up connection how can i add my broadband details so that i will be on-line from Linux.


I have installed KDE 8.04 & also have Windows XP on same machine.

Looking for some help

I cannot find the control center in K menu it is not there at all. how can i open network interfaces using command line.

I already tried to get reports using this commands but after i click on launch there is no response for all the commands.

Code:

ifconfig -a

to see all the network interfaces

Code:

netstat -rn

to see the routing table

Code:

cat /etc/network/interfaces

to see what the network config file looks like.

and
Code:

cat /etc/resolv.conf

to see the dns config file

Ahhhh - -I see your definitely from Windows - - don't worry.

Try Kinfo center to see what you have.

Are you looking to enter IP's to the router?

Now about your commands such as ifconfig
Are you in a command line console?
