Got the glitch in Hardy Alpha

I did the upgrade thru the Adept from Gutsy to Hardy. Now my wireless network is LOST, though it was working in Gutsy. Now I ponder why did I do this... but was tepmted to do so after hearing so much of goodies around. My device is Intel PRO Wireless 2100. It shows up in the Kubuntu device manager.
When I try to manually configure the Knetworkmanager, it tell me the platform is not supported and asks me to choose the nearest one, so I select the Gutsy 7.10. No luck getting the wireless however.
How can I reconfigure the wireless and the network? I am using the Knetworkmanager. The wireless device also does not show up. However, the interface is enabled showing up the wireless is enabled.
Appreciate your reply. Also how can I revert back to Gutsy?

i think that the knetworkmanager is the problem. It turned out to be mine. i put this reply on another post. it worled for me. you might try it.

I installed Wicd through synaptic & got the wireless working. you have to google it & add the repository. reboot after installing to make it work. It handles the network instead of knetworkmanager.
