brightness and sound in laptop Dell 9400

Hello!

I'm not sure if this post should be here. I have an laptop Dell 9400 and I've using kubuntu in this lap since version 7.04. In general Kubuntu works well and reciently I upgraded to kde 4.1.1 and all is ok. The only things doesn't work are the control of brightness (this laptop use fn + arrow up/down to adjust it) and the use of frontal controls for audio. Anybody knows how I can to fix these things?

Have you got kpowersave(battery monitor) installed. It's in the repo's. It solved the brightness issue with my laptop. No idea about the sound.
