    Artwork?

    Posted this elsewhere and got no response. Figured this would be a better place to ask:

    OK. For Hardy Heron I'm trying to update the look of my CD/DVD disk labels. Does anyone know if there are any Hardy Heron Kubuntu Art Work available yet? Looking for not only any KDE4 but also Kubuntu specific.

    What kind of artwork are you looking for in specific? If you could shoot me some idea's, maybe I could make something up in photoshop for you

      Well, the biggest thing I'm looking for is the Kubuntu Logo - the Ubuntu Human Wheel, but with the KDE touch. I actually saw a good picture of that logo at KDE-Look.org. but it was embedded in wallpaper or something and I just need the logo on a transparent background. It had a 3dish look to it (metalic in away). The metalic look would look great with the Label gradient I'm using.

        Here's one I did just as a reference, so you could point out what exactly you like and want. I know it's not Hardy Heron It'll give me an idea as to what you like/want on the CD label

          Cool. I like that.

          What I'm looking for is a logo like I have here, but more up to date. I mean, the resolution is OK. It a little rough around the edges and doesn't do Transparency to well. Also more metallic and 3dish in appearance.

              That's great. I never thought of using the animal along with the name and version. I'm still in need of the Kubuntu Logo as I described. I can get the CD Label fine enough, but can't find the right artwork. I do like the idea of the animal though. Below is a link to a post containing my current label.

                Yes, I created the silhouette using InkScape. In fact, as far as the logo is concerned, you can get the SVG file from here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Kubuntu_Logo.svg

                Using InkScape, you can resize it however you like without losing any of the detail/clarity. You can then export the logo as a PNG to use in GIMP or other image editing software (though GIMP will open SVG files itself).
