DVD Drive reads burned discs as blank [Solved]

Seems K3b and ImgBurn w/wine were the problem. Installed Brasero and had no problems....

Greetings:

I installed Kubuntu about a month ago, but only tried to read from a burned disc a couple of days ago. K3B burns fine, the discs I burn read in my wife's Acer, no prob. The KInfocenter shows my drives capable of reading.

I've got KB 8.04 KDE3 and tried both kernals in GRUB
