FIXED M1330 Media Keys KDE4.1 remix

Hi,

Just reinstalled hardy KDE4 remix from Hardy LTS.

I have a Dell M1330 and the volume and media keys do not work. They worked perfectly in Hardy with KDE 3.5

It used to show a notification on the screen showing the volume and that the sound was now muted etc. I have changed the master channel to front as PCM does not allow mute.

Does anyone know the package that needs to be set up to get KDE 4.1 to recongnise the keys? I have changed the keymap in kcontrol to Dell USB multimedia keyboard but that didn't make any difference.

I found out kmilo is the OSD for showing the volume etc.

The keys are registering just weren't mapped to do the right thing in system settings

I had to change in system settings, keyboard and mouse, keyboard shortcuts --> the actions that my keys do. Change volume and toggle mute for the front channel.
