Having trouble with remote desktop to windows

I having trouble getting rdesktop to connect to my computer at work. It gives me "unable to resolve host" error.

First, I connect through VPN which seems to connect but I cannot ping the DNS server.

Next, I launch rdesktop gui

I have tried a variety of combinations so will try to give you some of those

I entered just the node number for computer then I entered the domain

Then I tried combining the node numer with the domain

But it always gives the same error. Can someone please help me.
