    C/C++ development program

    Is there a package in Gutsy for developing C code like the Visual Studio? Is there support for other languages?

    Opinions and tastes vary.
    Popular is the Qt frame work, it's free for non commercial use, kde is built with it.
    As for IDE's, there's www.kdevelop.org. Personally I like qdevelop better http://qdevelop.free.fr

        Re: C/C++ development program

        I think Eclipse leans more to Java

        [ MonoDevelop => C# (CSharp) ]
        [ Gambas => VisualBasic ]
        [ Lazarus => Delphi ]
        Acer Aspire 5100<br />Kubuntu Hardy 8.04

          I wish I know how to work kdevelop, I think it is a good piece of software. but so far, I have no luck. At this point the only true success that I do have with an IDE is netbeans. I do some C++ coding once in a while and it works just fine. I would also wish to learn how to use some GUI while building on a netbeans IDE.

            If you don't mind waiting a few minutes with an unresponsive system every time you change your project, eclipse is ok I guess.
