Restoring Korganiser data

Hi. Wonder if you can help. I had to reinstall XP on my dual Boot laptop on Riday, with some very weird effects. As a result I had to back up home to dvd, wipe everything and start again.

I've got everything running now except korganiser. Despite changing file permissions (as I forgot to set K3b to retain permissions) I cannot get Korganisre to recognise the ian's calendar.ics file. I suspect that might have got corrupted, presumably somewhere in the backup process.

There is a backup file which I would like to try and restore. This may sound a daft question but, how do I do it please?

When I did the backup, I got an error message. However, looking at the disk through Konqueror it seemed to have gone OK.

I note that there area couple of files that might have got corrupted - firefox bookmarks for instance, and I think the only thing I can conclude is that the diary file has got corrupted.
