    Fixed-width fonts in Konsole

    Hi all,

    I have recently installed Kubuntu 7.10 and am loving it (used to be a Suse user till they dropped g77 ... grrrr). Anyway, I'm having a slight problem with the fonts in konsoles.

    The issue is that I have a very limited list of fonts to choose from, many of which appear to be exactly the same. I am currently using Monospace as the default font. I have installed a whole lot of extra fonts using the font installer in system settings but none of these are recognized by konsole. From what I've read, this is because konsole only recognizes fixed width fonts. However, I have installed fixed width fonts which konsole still doesn't show when changing the font.

    If anyone knows the solution to this then I would greatly appreciate hearing it. It's driving me nuts since the limited fonts (with limited sizes) is screwing up various konsole applications I use.

    Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere. If so, someone might be able to simple link me to the correct thread.

    Many thanks,

    Stephen

    I guess I'm the only one having this problem?

      Have you tried xfonts from repositories ?

      xfonts-artwiz =>
      x11 fonts created by Artwiz, TigerT, and Daniel Erat
      Small futuristic fonts for X. This package contains...
      After installation fixed width artwiz fonts are at the Konsole > Settings > Font > Select

      Attached Files
      Before you edit, BACKUP !

      Why there are dead links ?
