    computer and no internet.

I am just trying to get all the necessary packages to enable full multimedia support, minus dvd. What are the exact files I need to find .deb files for, and any ideas where I may find them?
My home computer has all of the needed files, I tried to load my files through an Apt-on-cd setup, but it seems to have left out some necessary files.

also would I maybe be able to find these files through the Ubuntu software packages side and if so where? I have been looking for a while.

    Ubuntu packages (and K/X/whatever/Ubuntu)
    http://packages.ubuntu.com/
This site provides you with information about all the packages available in the Ubuntu archive. It is generated with slightly modified scripts from packages.debian.org.
Here you can search packages and download them.

    Package: kubuntu-restricted-extras (10) [multiverse]
    Commonly used restricted packages

This package depends on some commonly used packages in the Kubuntu multiverse repository.

Installing this package will pull in support for MP3 playback and decoding, Java runtime environment, Flash plugin, DVD playback, and LAME (to create compressed audio files).

Please note that packages from multiverse are restricted by copyright or legal issues in some countries. See http://www.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/licensing for more information.
kubuntu-restricted-extras is metapackage (package that depends on a group of packages)

    kubuntu-restricted-extras recommends:
    flashplugin-nonfree, sun-java6-plugin, libxine1-ffmpeg, libdvdread3, libk3b2-mp3, liblame0, unrar, libtunepimp5-mp3

    For media : libxine1-ffmpeg, libdvdread3, libk3b2-mp3, liblame0, libtunepimp5-mp3

I just installed media support in the Kubuntu Gutsy KDE4 and it did install:
    Installed the following packages:
    libdbus-qt-1-1c2 (0.62.git.20060814-2build1)
    libdvdread3 (0.9.7-3ubuntu1)
    libflac++6 (1.1.4-3ubuntu1.1)
    libk3b2 (1.0.4-2ubuntu1~gutsy1)
    libk3b2-mp3 (1.0.3-0ubuntu4)
    liblame0 (3.97-0.0)
    libtunepimp5-mp3 (0.5.3-4ubuntu2)
    Note
    I allready had libxine1-ffmpeg.
