    Help connecting an mp3 player

    Hi,

I am very new to Linux, and i was wondering how to get my Creative Zen Micro to be recognized by Kubuntu. I plug it in but nothing happens. Please help.

    Thank You,

    Ronen

I have another creative zen, but it's probably the same. Here is what I did:

    1. In amarok, go to Settings -> Configure Amarok -> Media Devices
    2. Add an MTP Device manually.
    3. Plug the device, with its power turned off.
    4. In Amarok, click on Devices (on the left Tab)
    5. Click Connect.

Hopefully this will connect it. Now you can transfer music, it rocks! Remember to disconnect from amarok before unpluggin. Creative Zen's some times freeze if you don't (regardless the operating system)

Pls search this foum for "creative zen" for more info.

Most usb devices get recognized automatically in Kubuntu, I am not sure why MTP don't - I'm sure they will, eventually.

    Good luck!
