    KBabel error on save [solved]

    Hello all,

I am using KBabel to do some work, and whenever I save my work (the work still saves as far as I know) I get the following error dialog box:

While trying to check syntax with msgfmt an error occurred.
Please make sure that you have installed
    the GNU gettext package properly.
    Please edit the file again.

Any thoughts? If I try to search for gettext in Add/Remove programs I only get poedit (which at my last use was much inferior to KBabel).

    Thanks,

    Tim

Add/Remove programs (adept_installer) only shows the most common application packages, if you wish to see all the packages (including 'gettext') you should start Adept Manager (kdesu adept_manager) which should be available on the k-menu as well.

Alternatively, you can just install the gettext package with 'sudo apt-get install gettext'
