rdesktop doesn't work? [SOLVED]

I use this command to connect to a windows xp machine but I can't get a screen. It doesn't do anything.

rdesktop -k nl-be -g 1024x768 10.0.0.65

In feisty I had never had problems with this software.

Have you tried going through krdc? It uses rdesktop. I've never had a problem using it even after upgrading to Gutsy.

I can't connect to ip with that krdc. What should I do to get the connectbutton enabled?

You need to designate a screen to use. At the end of the host/address use :0 or :1 depending on your set up and the connect button will be available.

Ok that with :0 did the trick.

I can only take over apple and not the windows systems?

If your machine is running a VNC or RDP server, then KRDC should be able to connect to it.

I can connect with rdesktop with a debian pc to the windows machines.

If I try this with my kubuntu Gutsy machine then it just stalls

this command is used in debian and in Kubuntu

rdesktop -k nl-be -g 1024x768 10.1.0.65

Are there somewhere logfiles where I can check if rdesktop gives errors or anything?
Because I can't see anything now.

STUPID WINDOWS!!!!

The ****in machines started their firewalls in the background by some update I think?

What a f*cking ****ty os.
