Can A Non Techie Safely Install KDE4 Yet?

I'd quite like to have a look at it, but not if there're still huge chunks missing or it makes my computer throw a wobbly.

I wouldn't recommend it...yet. I *would* recommend downloading a live cd such as the openSuse one, burning it in K3B, booting it up and deciding for yourself once you've seen it though. Right now it's not exactly user friendly if you're not comfortable running apps from a command line though.

Looking forward to KDE4 with baited breath though.

a non-techie could install it, i don't think that is an issue. dealing with all the potential problems is an issue. :P

yeah, i'd recommend grabbing the kde4 live disc and try it out that way.
