So I use this feature, and would like to know if there is a patch or something that let me preview the picture in the "Setup Slide Show - KDesktop" window and let me sort the the list of the address of the images?

Not sure of the preview thing, but in kmenu>system settings>desktop>background
If you then click on setup under the slide show selection then it brings up a window with a list of the images being used for that slide show, selecting one of them will allow you to then click 'move up' or 'move down' and there is a check box for random order.
Also, you've probably spotted it already but one of my fav things about the slide show is that you can have a different slide show on each of your desktops. I have it set up so that each of my 4 desktops plays its own themed slideshow.
