    Unzip errors: TexLive2007 inst

I downloaded TexLive 2007 inst CD. Initially I had issues running the install program/script from the CD, but thanks to a helpful post I set the CD mount options to exec.

But now there is another problem. When I run the unix install script, and go to install, when it begins to copy files, it comes up with lots of unzip errors. It either can't find the unzip file, it can't read from it or there is some other error.

I don't think a single zip file is copied without such an error message.

(I was fine with the regular tetex except it didn't have amsmath, and then I installed texlive using
    sudo apt-get install texlive
except that didn't have xypic! Is there an easier way to install tex packages??)

Still, I don't understand why I can't install from the CD. The md5 sum or whatever is correct, and I think the CD installs fine on a Windows machine. That made me think that Rock Ridge was not enabled for my CD drive, but it appears it is enabled by default.

I burned the CD using kB3. Any ideas?
