    Symbolic Links

Hello. I need some help/advise. I have a couple of distros (one is Kubuntu, which I really like). My other distro is PCLOS, which is similar to Kubuntu and also uses KDE. Hence, there are several KDE applications common to both, each application has it's own specific files - such Kmail, Akregator and Amorak. How can I manage mp3's, pictures, etc. between the two distro without the hassles of literally copying from one distro to the other and/or duplicating podcast, news feeds and mail settings?

    Thanks.

Ultimately the best solution would be to create a separate partition for all you own files(docs, music, pOrn, etc). You would make this partition automount in either OS when booted. Both OS's would keep a small /home partition just for system files. This would also keep you file safe from a crash or update, also for a reinstall of either or any OS.

I just set this up myself. I have Kubuntu and Mepis on one drive and XP on another. This set up works really well.
