Amarok Spazzing Out

Hi guys

Amarok is acting very buggy on me and I need help.

When I try to use either the desktop shortcut or through the KDE menu, Amarok looks like it's loading (bouncing Icon) then fails. When I go to Konsole, and type "amarokapp" it loads, but crashed when I play and mp3 file (I believe I have the proper codecs installed). It can play cds fine through "amarokapp"

I tried to delete any folder/file in my home directory that seemingly related to Amarok to see if it's a configuration problem, but that doesn't help and I also tried to reinstall, again didn't work. I tried to use a different engine, but I can't fine one aside from the Xine engine in Adept.

Any idea what to do?

Have you tried a reinstall?

sudo aptitude reinstall amarok

Try just "amarok". It's some kind of wrapper for the actual amarok binary.
If you don't, you're not getting the same environment.
