    Ink Level Notifier for KDE?

I've been installing Kubuntu for my mother and trying to set up the computer as much as possible to make it easy for her. She's using a HP Photosmart 2610 printer with two cartridges of color. I want the computer to notify her to know when the ink-levels are to low. But I don't find any application that does that automatically. She's not a master of computers so it has to be so! I found one application for GNOME, InkBlot, but it is very awkard to install on KDE. Also I found a SuperKaramba theme called Ink Level Monitor, but I would prefer an application that popups and notifies my mother when there are low ink-levels. Please help!

well, if you have hplip installed, it has an ink level monitor, iirc, i don't know if you can make it "notifiable." there is also a program called kink you should check out, i don't know if it has a notifier tho, but you'll never know if you don't check it out!
