Flash plugin doesn't work with Konqueror for MySpace player

I am running a stock install of 7.04 and installed the Flash 9 plugin using the automatic installer that pops up in Konqueror when you try to load a page that requires the Flash plugin.

The MySpace Player does not work. It just displays, "Connecting..." and I see constant flashing in the status bar showing Konqueror requesting some file repeatedly.

Some embedded Flash movies do work. For example, I can view YouTube videos.

try the konqueror-plugin-gnash package available in the repos....

Thanks for the advice, although I'm afraid it did not work.

I installed konqueror-plugin-gnash with Adept and restarted Konqueror.

Now I am not able to view any Flash content. All Flash content just appears to be a black box.

This is the case for Flash content that worked with the other Flash plugin.

I'd appreciate any advice regarding other solutions (or at least how to get back to where I was).

Is anybody else able to use the MySpace Player using Konqueror?

well, i was gonna say then that it might be a version problem. ([lib]gnash supports flash fully up to flash v8, but v8+ support is being worked on i understand, or at least planned). in other words, the flash you were trying to view required flash v9+. but since you said you got the same effect with the standard flash plugin, then what i stated above is not the problem.

are you on 64bit by chance? if so, see here:
