[Java] Cannot close Java Applet Window

hi,

currently i got the following problem with my kubuntu 7.04.
after the installation of sun java it works fine, but i got this issue:

if i open this webpage: http://www.volano.com/international.html
and log into the chat a window opens called "java applet window".
i couldnt close this window (X-Button doesnt work, Alt+F4 doesnt work,
menu -> close doesnt work). the only solution is to close the whole
webpage.

this error occurs with different versions of the nvidia-driver and with
different versions of java. the same error occurs on ubuntu with gnome.
ive tested it with windows xp and sun-java, theres no problem.
with opensuse 10.2 i dont got this issue.

any idea how i could fix this? or just close this window without closing the
whole webpage?

Well, it closes fine for me, but it seems to reopen itself behind the main window after I've closed it.

I guess it's just relying on Microsoft quirks. Bad programming.

maybe bad programming, but how is opensuse able to close this window?
theres the same java and the same window manager...but with (k)ubuntu
the window wont close.
