adept don't show the lastest version !

I have this problem, I don't consider that is a problem because I never touched the settings of adept, so,
when i click on fetch update, the update are fetched without any problems, but it don't show the lastest versions of software, for example:
It show that I can install the Tunderbird 1.5.10, but the 2.0.0 is out, same thing for kaffeine I have the version 0.8.3, the version 0.8.4 is out and the adept didn't notify me to upgrade it, even if uninstall it and reinstall, it download the version 0.8.3.

The .deb files have not been made for kubuntu and posted to the repositories so, officially they aren't yet available.

Get hold of automatix which I know from personal experience has thunderbird 2.

Are you saying that automatix is better than adept ?

No. What I am saying is that the automatix project has a (fairly small) selection of applications available some of which are more up to date than those via the repositories used by adept. Probably the best example I can give is Thunderbird 2.0. I can confirm that T'Bird 2 installed via automatix works very well.
At this point the latest kaffeine appears to be available only as source code.

Consider Automatix as an addition to adept rather than a replacement. i can only suggest you download it and see. My perception is that one or two items are more up to date. Also it has a few things that are "nice to have" although probably available via adept if you have all repositories including medibuntu enabled.
