    Add/remove program

    Hi.
    a friend of my installd kubuntu, and when he klicked on add/remove program
    he had many, many programs to shose from to install.
    but i can only se what i have installd, there are som few others but i cant klick on them.
    and i only have like 40 programs there, and he have over 200 programs there to shose from.
    why dosent i have that? this is my first time i use kubuntu.
    sorry about my english, but iḿ from sweden. =)

    First of all, in the line above the boxes, check that you have checked unsupported and proprietary software on the right, and that the combo box on the left is in "Any Suite".

    If the program that you are looking for is not there, open System->Adept Manager. This is a kind of advanced add/remove programs. In the menu bar select View, and then Manage Repositories.

    Now navigate the tabs and check all the repositories that you want. Click accept.

    If it ask you to update your database let it do it. If not click on the "Fetch Updates" button.

    Now close adept and go back to add/remove programs, there should be now more programs there.
