hi when i try to play an embedded movie with kmplayer it starts and then immediately stops i have tried everything to get it to play (mov file) i have the binary codec pack installed but nothing works and when i play that same video in kaffeine as a play url it plays but everything is in shades of purple and green any ideas?

I'm running edgy. I had similar problems. Add the medibuntu repository for your version. If that doesn't work... Automatix2 enables you to download the necessary files. I needed win32 codex? too. Also the ogle player worked when others didn't. Now that I have the fixes they all work.

thanks for that but i should have been more specific in my first post i have win32 codecs (from automatix AND mplayerhq) and also i found actually saving the file and then opening it from the download works so i think this may have something to do with the way it streams itComment
