kubuntu amd64 and hp/compaq Turion laptops

There must be a reference to 'no KDE desktop' when installing kubuntu amd64 on Turion-based laptops, but I haven't seen it. Hopefully I have missed the point. Thanks.

Do I take it to mean that you attempted to install Kubuntu on your laptop and it didn't work? If that is the case, we could use some information in order to help you. If that is not the case, what is the case?
