Re: Network fail to connect
I have problems similar to jwhibdon
When I click on the "Network Settings" in the "System Settings" menu, the network interface tab does not list any interface or device.
When I go to System Settings-->Advanced tab-->System Services--> Networking and click on Start, it gives the same message as jwhibdon has posted.

just that instead of "Reconfiguring" it says "Configuring"
I tried the option of "Wake-on-LAN" in windows, as suggested on the forum posted by Unicorn
but still it shows the same error.
So I tried another solution provided by on the same forum, ie to download the driver from the website indicated there.
I have a Realtek RTL8139 Family Ethernet LAN Card.
However, following table is displayed on the website with NO link to download the driver for Linux
Does this mean that my LAN Card does not have support for Linux?
Please Help
