My root file system is formatted in reiserfs. I want to check the file system, but to do so the file system needs to be unmounted. This is a problem, being that it is the root file system. Furthermore, the file system isn't checked at ever 30 mounts and/or when the system doesn't shutdown properly as it did when I had it in ext3. How do I fix this?
