    I think there is a problem with feisty i386-desktop cd

    I tried installing feisty on my laptop the other day and had one heck of a time configuring the pcmcia wireless card. when i succeeded in that i found that konqueror was "broken". i kept getting:
    an error occurred while loading (insert url here)
    could not connect to host (url).
    swiftfox and fire fox worked fine and so did Konversation.

    so I reinstalled edgy which works great with no extra config for wireless.

    I upgraded my desktop to feisty the otherday using the adept upgrader which went smooth and konqueror works.

    lastly, while running the feisty live cd i have the same problem. wireless needs attention and when it is up, konqueror fails.

    is this a problem with konqueror finding the connection? it is very weird.
    HHHEEELLLPPPP me please.
    I tried Enlightenment once, it was pretty cool.

    More info: I can use konqueror when I connect via ethernet(dsl) but it doesn't work when connecting via pcmcia wireless card. very strange.
    I tried Enlightenment once, it was pretty cool.

      i agree, konqueror is broken. i can't use it for dial up http.
      i installed fire fox, which is not my favorite but it got me here without changing any settings.

      ping, apt-get, adept etc, all work.
