Feisty Herd 3 major graphics issue

So I ran the herd 2 live CD awhile ago and all was fine. Now here comes along herd 3 and my screen is a garbled mess! It has 2 parts to it and it as if the pixels are being spread sideways. It is hard to explain, but it is unusable. Oh and it showed a little x after the loading bar went but before the next loading screen (sorry for my lack of words, I am new).

I am running on an 17in iMac G5 2.0ghz 1GB ram and an ATI 9600.
I assume it is something to do with the graphics card. But as I said herd 2 ran just fine on this machine.

Re: Feisty Herd 3 major graphics issue

I just tried it on my dual 800mhz G4 PowerMac and the start screen was small (top left of screen) and the colors were all garbled but only like 256 colors (picture was readable just not colors).
Then I left to let it boot and when I came back it was back in Mac OS X. It must have just restarted, giving up for some reason.

Herd 2 was at least startable for me (never really got deeper), Herd 3 is just unusable.

Should I be reporting this to some higher ups or something?
