Share my story to prime the forum. I have a machine that has CyberDrv cw078d cd burner in it. It was crashing k3b everytime. After much googling, I found this drive doesn't like the dma test. By adding CDR_NODMATEST = true into the /etc/environment file, The burner couldn't be happier. Seems so simple now! Hope I saved some other noobs some time with this.

Thanks for posting your experience. Anyone who has this CD burner and hasn't figured this out should benefit.Windows no longer obstructs my view.
