Please help me in installing my HP3500

Umm..I'm having trouble with my HP3500 printer.
Is there anyone out there who can help me & teach me
how to install my printer properly..?

You have gone through
kmenu -> system settings -> printers and then chosen add -> Add printer/class

and it isn't working?
