    iMac Intel

I have recently installed (but now removed) Kubuntu on my iMac Intel machine (Core 2 Duo). I have a problem with the resolution, because I can't make it higher than 1024 x 640 pixels. On Mac OS X, I can make the resolution of my display (17" flat panel) 1440 x 900 pixels. Is there any solution to this problem?

    In short: "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg".

Thank you very much. However, one question list all kinds of resolutions. How can I select the ones that are compatible with my monitor?

Update: I have figured out that I need to press the space bar to select resolutions. After selecting the appropriate resolutions (those supported in Mac OS X), I got an error that the GUI could not be loaded on the next boot. My graphics card is an ATI Radeon X1600 and I have 128 MB video memory.

That's all it says? The GUI could not be loaded?

Post (or, if it's really long, attach) your X log (/var/logXorg.0.log) after trying to load X.
