Disable monitor screensaver

My monitor keeps going to a blank "screensaver" after appx. 5 min of inactivity.
I am not a newbie , knowing about the screensaver settings and power settings, etc., I have them all selected or deselected yet the monitor goes to sleep.
Is this a bug in Feisty perhaps?

System Settings > Desktop. Is that where you've been looking?

Well, I'd track down the personal configuration file (somewhere in ~/.kde), and either modify it there or delete the file entirely.
Also try changing it in administrator mode.

I tried it in administrative mode. I reset it to activate in the max of 5 hours instead of disable all together. I will experiment and see what happens with that setting.
I can live with the screensaver popping up after 5 hours.
