intel 82845G driver for Kubuntu Feisty

Is the DRM for the Intel 82845G graphics chipset? I am running on super low res and it is starting to stink. I downloaded a tarball but no such luck with installing it. Anyone help with that? ALso, how do I change the resolution of the monitor, aside from that I am loving Kubuntu Feisty.

Well, your first problem will be selecting the correct driver. I don't see any driver for the 828s specifically, but you may have luck with one of the others.
Just run "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg", selecting the i740 driver (this one is marked "generic"), and the resolutions you want. Restart the X server.
If that doesn't work, keep trying the other i*** drivers. If none of them work, fall back to vesa, and we'll go from there.

I have the 82845G on my desktop running Dapper with 1024x768 resolution, just got Feisty on my laptop(945G) to 1280x800 but haven't tried Feisty on my desktop yet but look at this thread it might help.
