    "Safely remove" disappears from context-menu.

    Hi all,

I'm using the Kubuntu 6.10 release candidate and have the following problem in KDE:

When I attach more than 1 USB storage device an icon pops up for each device on my desktop (e.g. an MMC card and an external HDD, a music player). When right-clicking on these icons, a "Safely remove" menu entry is available which unmounts the device. All is well so far.

The problem: If I choose to "Safely Remove" any one of the devices, the operation takes place successfully and the device is unmounted, BUT the menu option is no longer available for the other devices! As a result, I have to open a konsole and manually unmount the devices. Any ideas why?

You're not alone... same here! I think it's a KDE 3.5.5 bug although I havn't seen any bug reports about it.

Actually, there is a bug report for this:

      https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114359

Guess it'll be fixed some time in the future...

That bug report is for KDE 3.4.9 and it was opened on 2005-10-13 so it shouldn't apply to Kde 3.5.5... but at least we now that the actual bug has parents!

...we'll just have to wait to see what happens...
